without considering or explaining the impact these measures will have on sick Australians. With an increasing and ageing population it is irrational to argue that people in our community would be requiring fewer medicines. The PBS should and must be a priority to ensure that all people have access to medicines and that it is not a question of cost that prevents them from seeking assistance with their health problems. The PBS is one of the great things that we do for the people of Australia, and we should protect it, look after it and not cut it, as is being done by this government.
