It is a great day to be a West Australian, Mr Speaker! I think it is important to commence any discussion on roads with a reflection of activity over the last week. I would like to say that the people of Western Australia have made a very fine decision to elect the Barnett conservative government and get on with the job of responsible government in Western Australia. It is no surprise that this has occurred, when you consider some of the activities of the former government—that is a good thing to say!—and the former Premier of Western Australia, particularly in the way that he approached things like road funding: delaying, looking for opportunities to re-announce activities in connection with the election, making sure his candidates were there at the right time, rather than—
