On indulgence, for the benefit of members in terms of making plans for Thursday night and perhaps Friday, unfortunately, I have to report that the Senate have not voted today on the alcopops legislation and they have not progressed the Work Choices removal legislation. In fact, prior to two o’clock they were dealing with private members’ business. Therefore, for the benefit of members I think it would be wise not to plan to depart at the usual time when parliament rises on Thursday afternoon. It is certainly the view of the government that we will sit for as long as it takes to get rid of Work Choices.
