Ms O’Neill, for the committee elected to prepare an address-in-reply to the speech of Her Excellency the Governor-General, presented the proposed address, which was read by the Clerk. The proposed address read as follows:

May it please Your Excellency:

We, the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, in Parliament assembled, express our loyalty to the Sovereign, and thank Your Excellency for the speech you have been pleased to address to the Parliament.
