I thank the member for Goldstein for his contribution, at least insofar as it related to the bill. This is a bill that amends five acts across three portfolios to address an issue whereby payments made from certain appropriations may risk breaching section 83 of the Constitution. The bill also amends the governance and financial arrangements of existing government bodies and corrects a drafting error to ensure gender-neutral terms for the definitions of the chair and the deputy chair of the Joint Committee of Public Accounts and Audit. I commend the bill to the House.
