I have to report to the House that, on 8 March 2018, the Speaker received advice from the Chief Government Whip nominating Mr Drum to be a member of the Select Committee on Regional Development and Decentralisation. In accordance with standing order 229(b), as the House was not expected to sit for several weeks, the appointment became effective at that date. I now call the minister to move a motion to resolve membership of the committee.
