The government believes in investing in the wellbeing of our nation's children through supporting stronger communities and families. In politics, ethics matter and values matter. Investing in our children matters and is a foundation of a cohesive society. Because the coalition government has a plan for jobs and growth and to create more wealth, we're able to invest part of that wealth back into the future of our children such as through increased funding for our schools, like in every school in my electorate.

Building strong children is much easier than repairing broken adults. That is why I'm fighting for a playground redevelopment for the not-for-profit Aspley East Kindergarten. They want to offer local families a safe and up-to-date outdoor learning environment, and I fully support them. I had the opportunity to go and see them recently—they're doing a fantastic job. But it doesn't end there. We're also investing more in sport, health and wellbeing for our community overall. Whether it's for sporting facilities like those of the Redcliffe Dolphins, the Aspley Hornets or the Aspley Devils, or the Redcliffe Surf Life Saving Club or police and citizens youth clubs in my area, I am standing up to fight for them. I have also invested recently with Peninsula Power Football Club in upgrading their grandstand. They're a great little community club. They are very passionate and believe firmly in what they are doing, and I support them.
