Just briefly, for members who were present when the closure was moved and the Manager of Opposition Business raised a point of order of clarification which often gets raised, I wanted to point out the relevant part of Practice is on page 307. What the Leader of the House couldn't have done is move 'That the speaker be no further heard', but a member speaking to an amendment may be interrupted by a closure motion 'That the question be now put' and it may be moved while the member is moving an amendment. It's the same for the seconder; it goes onto the next page in explaining it. For the benefit of members, I thought I would point that out. The Leader of the Opposition has indicated he wants the call.
