I want more people from poor backgrounds to go to university. I want more people from the regions to go to university. I want more people from the bush to go to university. I want more Indigenous Australians to go to university. And I have to tell you, if we're going to use taxpayers' money to invest in our universities to help more people to go to university, then I make no apologies in saying I want it to be them.
