I thank the shadow minister for his question. This is a question I have answered previously relying on the evidence given to Senate estimates that the detainees who were required to be released are being continuously monitored. But in relation to the last aspect of his question, I am deeply concerned by reports just in in the Sydney Morning Herald that refer to 102 convicted sex offenders released into the community when the Leader of the Opposition was responsible—and 64 child sex offenders, not by order of the court or tribunal but released by his delegates.
