During question time the Prime Minister and the Minister for Climate Change and Energy referenced a Guardian article about the 2030 target. The article was incorrect. As we know, the opposition voted on 4 August 2022 against the climate change bill which contained the 43 per cent reduction from 2005 levels by 2030. We had been very clear in that regard. Karen Middleton, of course, is normally a very respected and accurate journalist. But on this occasion the story is incorrect.
