Mr Speaker, I rise on a point of order. You will recall that, during the last fortnight’s sitting, my colleague the member for Lalor rhetorically asked a question. You made a ruling that that was indeed a question to the government and took a question from the opposition on that basis. The Prime Minister in question time today concluded his answer, then he asked a question of the Leader of the Opposition—

Order! The member for Grayndler has asked me to rule on his point of order. I will rule on his point of order. The member for Grayndler would be well aware that the rules relating to questions to members other than ministers are quite specific. Accordingly, I am not accepting that question, because it is not a question directed to a minister.
