Today I want to tell the House about one of my great constituents, who is one of my harshest critics but one of my greatest fans. I had the joy at the end of last year of attending her final school assembly, after 46 years of dedication to the Catholic education department, at the small inner city school where she had worked for the last 23 years. I want to say well done to my mum, Joan Burke, who spent the last 46 years teaching and the last 23 of them at the same school. She has instilled in thousands of people the joy of reading. She is a great educationalist, and I just want to say well done.
