Mr Speaker, further to my previous question: will the Prime Minister guarantee that he and his ministers will be here on a scheduled sitting Friday to answer questions on behalf of the Australian people? Please do not give us Ruddspeak for no.

I thank the honourable member for his question. My recollection is that in this House we have never had parliament sit on a Friday. You were in government for 11 years and there was no sitting on a Friday. This government extends the democratic opportunities to members of parliament to be here on a Friday to raise the concerns of their local members. We have done that, it is a reform and I commend it to the House for its support.

Mr Speaker, I rise on a point of order. The Prime Minister has just misled the House. We have sat on Fridays.
