On Monday I informed the House that I had received a return to the writ for the election of a member to serve for the electoral division of Lyne and that, by the endorsement on the writ, Robert James Murray Oakeshott had been elected.

Mr Robert James Murray Oakeshott made and subscribed the affirmation of allegiance.
