My question is to the Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government. Minister, how will the government pay for the multibillion dollar funding shortfall in its fibre-to-the-mode broadband policy?

I am pleased to get a question from the former shadow minister for communications and pleased that he is getting a run now that he has moved further down the queue. As the shadow minister would be aware, the tender process closed last week. That is now with the expert panel. The expert panel will be giving appropriate advice to the government, and when the government receives that advice it will be making further announcements.
