That, in accordance with the provisions of the Public Works Committee Act 1969, the following proposed work be referred to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Works for consideration and report: the refit and refurbishment of Tuggeranong Office Park, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.

That the House:
- (1)
- notes:
- (a)
- that despite declarations from both sides of politics that they will not build an airport at Badgerys Creek, the airport designation for the site is still in place;
- (b)
- that residents and landholders in the designated area are unable to develop property unless buildings comply with airport zoning requirements;
- (c)
- the financial hardship and emotional stress endured by residents and landholders affected by the Badgerys Creek airport designation; and
- (d)
- the adverse impact on planning and economic development in Western Sydney caused by the Badgerys Creek airport designation; and
- (2)
- calls on the Government to immediately lift the airport designation on the Badgerys Creek airport site.
