My question is to the Prime Minister. I refer the Prime Minister to her statement about cabinet government, and I quote her:

You consult and then you decide. I will take that approach to all questions in my Prime Ministership, …

My question to the Prime Minister is: why did the Prime Minister not consult the foreign affairs minister about her plan to overturn the ban on uranium sales to India before she informed the Indian Prime Minister?

I thank the member for his question. I made a decision about raising at the forthcoming ALP national conference the need to change our platform. I made that decision; I viewed it as a leader's call and I took it.
