My question is to the Prime Minister. I refer to her earlier answer to the member for Mackellar when she said that she did not believe that the Leader of the Opposition's comments had been the reason for the Australia Day riots. Given that, why was the Prime Minister's media unit briefing precisely the opposite to the press gallery that afternoon, which the press gallery knows to be true?

To my knowledge no such briefing was given to the press gallery. If the opposition have a specific allegation, then they should put it. If they do not have a specific allegation, then they should stop muckraking.
