My question is to the Minister for Immigration and Citizenship. I refer the minister to his statement yesterday in relation to a convicted Egyptian jihadi terrorist held for seven months in a low security family accommodation facility in the Adelaide Hills that, 'I have not received advice as to whether the person in question has gone through any assessment.' Can the minister now advise the House of the status of his claim for asylum?

I thank the honourable member. Yes, I can advise the House. There has been no assessment in relation to this matter.
