I rise today to acknowledge and thank all of those who took part in the 2014 Deakin student leadership roundtable series over the year. Over three sessions students in leadership positions at secondary schools in the Deakin electorate met in my office to discuss a wide range of issues impacting young people in our community. Issues discussed in those roundtables included improved local job opportunities for young people, fostering greater cooperation between local schools and ways to improve their student curriculum.
