Last Friday I held one of my seniors forums at Swansea. That day was an outstanding success, with over 100 seniors in attendance. The first speaker was Lake Macquarie Council, and they talked about early warning networks and household emergency plans. That was Jenny Lincoln-Webb and Jackie Korbel. Warren Gilbertson, from the New South Wales Law Society, gave his usual outstanding contribution and provided information on wills, power of attorney and other relevant legal matters. We did something a little bit different this time. We had Kylie from the local pharmacy come along and talk about medications. In addition, we had Deborah Moore the Heart Foundation—and the shadow minister, who is here, participated in that at one of my forums. We also had the University of the Third Age. Robin Maclean, from Centrelink, spoke, as did Australian Hearing's Linda Brindle. New South Wales Police Senior Constable Shamala Whitehead gave a presentation on scams. It was an outstanding day. Everybody learnt a lot. It was one of those days where you have absolutely no politics, just a lot of information. So people went away with information about services that are available in the community.
