My question is to the Minister representing the Attorney-General. Why did the Attorney-General contact the Prime Minister's royal commissioner this morning about his agreement to be the keynote speaker at a Liberal Party fundraiser advertised since April?

I thank the member for his question. I am advised that the Attorney-General first heard about this through the media. He telephoned the commissioner about 11.30 this morning, and the commissioner advised he had already confirmed he will not be attending the Sir Garfield Barwick address.
