My question is to the Prime Minister. Can the Prime Minister explain why the minister for cities has responsibility for the return of environmental water to the Murray-Darling Basin and not the Minister for the Environment or the Assistant Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources? Why on earth has responsibility for environmental water, which is held in rural and regional dams throughout the basin, been given to the minister for cities?

The minister responsible for the Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder is the Minister for the Environment.
