I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank all of the secondary school leaders who took part in the 2015 Deakin Student Leadership Roundtable series. Following on from the success of last year's series, over three sessions this year student leaders from throughout the electorate met with me and together to discuss a range of issues impacting young people in our community. It was very valuable for me to hear directly from them. Issues that we discussed included local youth employment opportunities, same-sex marriage, interschool relations and various aspects of the school curriculum.
