This weekend will see the opening of yet another gas plant on Curtis Island in Gladstone in the seat of Flynn. The project is expected to supply LNG for the next 20 years. It has cost something like $24.5 billion for one plant—that is big chips. The first boats have sailed and there will be many, many more to come over the next few years. It will add to the Queensland economy and the Australian economy.
