My question is to the Minister for Home Affairs. Yesterday the minister said he declared interests in childcare centres in government discussions out of 'an abundance of care'. Why won't the minister apply the same standard to doubts about his qualifications to be a member of parliament under section 44 of the Constitution and to be a minister in the government under section 64 of the Constitution?

I thank the honourable member for his question. As I've stated before, I have complied with the requirements under the Statement of Ministerial Standards and the Cabinet Handbook, and I've taken advice in relation to my position which puts the question beyond doubt.
