My question is addressed to the Prime Minister. Can the Prime Minister confirm that wages have grown more slowly than in the government's past 38 consecutive forecasts?
Scott Morrison (Cook, Liberal Party, Prime Minister) Share this | Link to this | Hansard source
I thank the Leader of the Opposition for his question. I can confirm that when it comes to real wages growth in the most recent quarter the through-the-year growth was 0.7 per cent. I can also confirm that in the September quarter of 2013, when we came to government, it grew by 0.5 per cent. Real wage growth in the most recent quarter was higher than what we inherited from the Labor Party.
