Last month I visited the annual dinner dance of the Orthodox Community of Box Hill and Districts. This event was a celebration of Greek culture and the organisation's profound contribution to our community. I was given a full tour of the community's facilities, which include a school that provides Greek language classes. These classes are a great way to become involved in the orthodox community, and I would encourage anyone interested to attend. I personally would like to thank President Nick Farlecas and School Principal Vlasi Mavraganis for taking the time to show me around and to show how proud they are.

During the night I had the opportunity to visit each table individually and meet all the guests. We discussed issues of importance to the Greek community within Chisholm. A personal highlight of the evening for me was when I had the chance to participate in some traditional Greek dancing, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Congratulations to the Orthodox Community of Box Hill and Districts for hosting an entertaining night. Thank you for all that you do for the communities within my electorate of Chisholm.
