My question is to the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister has said that the Attorney-General would not perform certain functions of his office. If the Prime Minister intends to allow the Attorney-General to resume his duties without an independent inquiry into sexual assault allegations, will the Attorney-General retain responsibility for defamation law reform?

As I said in the House yesterday, and I'll repeat again today, we've sought advice from the Solicitor-General involving these matters. I'll await the advice from the Solicitor-General, and that will inform our decision about how we will be able to address the issues that the member has just raised.
