My question is to the Prime Minister. I refer to the inquiry by his secretary about who knew what and when in the Prime Minister's Office about the reported sexual assault of Brittany Higgins. Can the Prime Minister confirm today his secretary told Senate estimates he has not spoken to Ms Higgins, refused to say if taxpayers were paying for lawyers for the Prime Minister's staff, refused to say when his report will finish and refused to say if his report would be released? Doesn't Ms Higgins deserve much better than this?

I thank the member for his question. I refer the member to the Secretary of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet's evidence today, where those matters are set out that he's referred to. I look forward to receiving that report as soon as it has concluded and taking the necessary action.
