My question is to the Prime Minister. The federal government is now being asked to approve one of the 114 new coal and gas projects in the pipeline: the massive Mount Pleasant coalmining expansion in New South Wales. Will the government block this new coal project, including by putting a climate trigger in our environment laws, or will Labor keep opening new coal and gas projects because, as your resources minister outrageously said, it's just 'the bubbles in your soda stream; we've got to keep it balanced, how we think about carbon dioxide'?

As the honourable member knows, this project has gone through its approval processes at the state level. It will now begin the federal level processes before the minister for the environment. The minister for the environment will take the same assiduous, careful, methodical and proper approach as she's taken to all environmental approvals she's dealt with so far.
