My question is to the Minister for Immigration, Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs. In Senate estimates last night it was confirmed that the minister, not the Community Protection Board, is the final decision-maker in relation to the conditions placed on the 149 former detainees. As I was saying, what we heard in Senate estimates was detail of the relentless effort that has been made by the government since November last year to maintain the safety of the Australian community. The critical part of that was, of course, the establishment of the community safety board, a body composed of eminent law enforcement and other professionals to provide us with expert advice on how to manage this cohort in the community. I've greatly valued their advice and, of course, the input of the ABF commissioner. Indeed, I've acted in accordance with their advice in every decision that I have made.
