My question is to the Minister for Immigration, Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs. Why was Mr Abdel-Hady released from detention if he wasn't part of the NZYQ cohort?

I'll say again that we continue to take every possible step to deport people who have no right to stay in this country. I say this: those opposite had five years to remove this individual and did nothing.
