Easter is a time of reflection, a renewal, for many across my electorate and across Australia. It is a time when we pause to remember the profound love and compassion that he showed to all regardless of their place in life. During this time, we remember and honour the ultimate sacrifice made by Jesus Christ and the boundless love that transcends time and space. But Easter is not just a religious observance. It is a universal message of hope that transcends boundaries and beliefs. It is a reminder that even in our darkest moments there is always a promise of a new beginning, a chance to rise above adversity and embrace the possibilities of tomorrow.

As we navigate the challenges and uncertainties of our time, let us draw strength from the message of Easter, a message of resilience, courage and unwavering faith. Let us remember those who are less fortunate, those who are marginalised and oppressed, and let us strive to build a society that is inclusive, just and compassionate. From my family to yours, I would like to wish everyone a happy and blessed Easter.
