I probably should have done this at the second reading stage, but I just want to indicate that the Democrats will support the Therapeutic Goods Amendment Bill (No. 2) 2005. We recognise that it fixes an anomaly that the government created during the free trade agreement and that it affects the complementary health sector and the off-the-shelf medication sector, which were required to do patent searches which, as I understand it, were always intended for the pharmaceutical companies. So we support this technical change.
