My question is to the Minister for Finance and Administration, representing the Prime Minister, and it relates to Cyclone Larry, which devastated the coast of part of my home state of Queensland this time last Monday. In asking this question, I indicate to the people of Innisfail and the Atherton Tableland the understanding and support of the parliament of Australia in their predicament at the current time. As a northerner, I was very gratified at the speed of the response that the Howard government showed to the calamity and I ask you to update the Senate on the assistance that is being made available to the people devastated by Cyclone Larry.
