As I have mentioned a number of times in this place with regard to reports from this committee, the crossbenchers do not have representation on this committee; therefore, we are not in a position to participate in the formulation of reports such as this or any of the inquiries which are, in some circumstances, held behind closed doors. Nonetheless, I find from experience that the reports are very informative. As I have not been part of this committee I have not had a chance to read this one yet, but I would like the opportunity to comment on it after having done so. I seek leave to continue my remarks later.
