My question is to the Minister for Ageing, Senator Santoro. Given that National Dementia Awareness Month commenced last Friday, will the minister outline to the Senate the impact of dementia on older Australians and their families in particular? What initiatives have been announced by the government to address the impact of this very serious condition?
