I confirmed that we were dealing only with the first amendment and therefore made a comment only around that one. My concern is that, whilst I understand the intent of the amendment, I am not sure that it is doable—whether it is possible to be undertaken—or whether it will achieve the outcome that is desired. Given the time and the fact that we are somewhat further down the track than we thought we would be in the course of this debate, I am not sure that the appropriate advices have been received from all parties about whether or not this will achieve the outcome that Senator Nettle intends and which I personally share.
