I thank the Senate for the attention to this matter. In summary, the passage of the Australian Energy Market Amendment (Minor Amendments) Bill 2008 will allow smooth implementation of the cooperative energy reform agenda. The bill has the full support of state and territory energy ministers on the Ministerial Council on Energy.
