but, on behalf of the National Party, I would like to congratulate Senator Ellison, who is respected throughout the chamber as an extremely decent advocate for Western Australia and also as an extremely decent person to work with. I concur with the remarks of Senator Evans, Senator Minchin, Senator Bob Brown and Senator Fielding that he will be a loss to this place—not by reason that he is leaving right now, but by reason that his interaction in its current form is going to go to a more respectable part of the bench.
