I have some further information in response to the question from Senator Siewert yesterday to me regarding recent police raids in the Northern Territory. I am advised by Mr Debus that the Australian Federal Police were not involved in either of these matters; that Australian Federal Police members are not deployed to Alice Springs as part of the Northern Territory emergency response; and as this is a matter for the Northern Territory Police he is unable to comment or provide any further information.
