I am pleased that we have some extra money that will support people to make applications through a complex process. There are technical pro­blems with this bill and I want to go through them. The bill's proposal that the consent of Indigenous landowners is required for the making of a wild rivers declaration it totally unworkable. It is unworkable for a whole range of reasons.
