asked the Minister representing the Minister for Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities, upon notice, on 12 April 2012:

With reference to the time taken to list threatened species and ecological communities under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999, what is the average time taken from the:

  (a)   submission of a nomination to the finalisation of the Finalised Priority Assessment List; and

  (b)   provision of advice to the Minister by the Threatened Species Scientific Committee to publication of the decision.
