My question is to the minister representing the Prime Minister, Senator Conroy. I refer the minister to the fact that illegal boats are now arriving at a rate of 1,000 times greater than when Mr Rudd became Prime Minister. Does the minister now accept that Prime Minister Rudd's decision to abolish the Howard government's successful border protection policies was a catastrophic mistake, and does the government still stand by its support for this decision?
