by leave—I present a document, with three pages of signatures, from the Russell Family Fetal Alcohol Disorders Association asking the Senate to treat foetal alcohol spectrum disorder as a disability. It is currently not recognised as a disability by the federal government and this lack of acknowledgement causes serious problems for families who have members with foetal alcohol spectrum disorder in terms of using various community, local, state and federal services, including the criminal justice system, health and disability services and Centrelink.
