Time prevents me from responding to the political points made by Senator Farrell, but I will point out to Senator Wright regarding her comments about section 400. On 4 June 2014 the Minister for Defence, jointly with Minister Scullion, announced that section 400 is to be excised from the WPA, and the traditional owners of the Maralinga-Tjarutja lands are to be given unrestricted access to the area. I give notice that I will be moving an amendment in the committee stage, and I commend the bill to the Senate.
