I am in continuation from last year but, given that that was some time ago, I will remind the chamber about where I was coming from at the time. I can see the smile on your face, Mr President, because you remember the occasion very well, I am sure.

As I was articulating in that short time last time, the Australian Greens are extremely concerned about the fast-tracking of intercountry adoption processes. We have seen the trauma that can be caused by flawed adoption practices to the child, the relinquishing family and the adoptive family.
