Queensland: Higher Education

Thirteenth. But by then we will be lucky to be in the top 30. So it will be a struggle to maintain our economic and, therefore, political relevance. While increasingly developing countries will take centre stage in global politics, Australia will be at risk of losing influence. But, as the closest state to Asia, Queensland is increasingly playing its part in driving knowledge and innovation for Australia. Queensland has come a long way in a very short time, and this is an achievement that deserves much greater public recognition.
